Betty Skelly: Hi Kara, been awhile I did not come here. I was busy, we went back to FL again and we got lots of sunshine. We missed the flood here in Northwest but I am thankful that our house did not sunk. We live in a hill and the house was built 1 foot up the ground. I called my friend if we have flood but then it is only at the bridge about 2 miles away from my home. Glad everything went ok. How are you? Got a new book working again huh! cool!

Ah, the weekend

  • Where did I walk/ride? Around the neighborhood, 2578 steps (that CAN'T be right!)

I attended the Mystery Writers workshop today on critiquing.  It was a good mix of people giving the pro's and cons.

I fully intended to come right home and get to work painting the rest of the living room, but I couldn't face it.  Too lazy.  So I read and messed around online. (Okay, I played computer games.  After years of being sanctimonious about how I was able to conquer my addiction to computer games, I fell off the wagon. Eeeeeks.

I made a black-bean salad for dinner--it's supposed to be a healthy substitution for layer dip (you know the one I'm talking about, with all the sour cream, cheese, olives, etc.  Well, it wasn't half bad.  I would have rather sat in front of the TV with a bowl of layer dip and a bag of Doritos, but I don't do that kind of thing anymore (much) so this was a reasonable substitute.
