We arrived home yesterday after two very long flights, and mostly I've been sleeping since then!  I'm totally wiped out.  But it was a wonderful trip.  I swam with the dolphins and rode a horse through the most beautiful valley I've ever seen.  I hiked through a virgin forest and saw four new birds.  I did some research for my boat book, interviewing a fishing charter captain and touring his boat while he cleaned a tuna (nasty!)  He was a real character, goes by the name of Bombay.  Seriously.

Those are the highlights.  Unfortunately Rob worked the whole week, so we only had one play day together.  We drove our rent-car all the way around the island and visited the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Unfortunately we had some rain which put a damper on our hiking, though we did some anyway and just got a little bit wet.

Here is a picture of me at the volcano crater--it's really big and I'm too lazy to size it tonight.  More pictures coming.
