A huge preying mantis terrorized my yoga class today.
Okay, that's a big fib. No one was scared of him. But he was a huge distraction as he slowly made his way across the ceiling toward the door. When class was over I got a stick and tried to get him to crawl on it so I could put him outside, but he cringed away and thought I was going to hit him, so we let him be. But he was gi-normous--longer than my finger.
First, though, I went to Wishcraft where my report was decidedly embarrassing. I only accomplished three out of 12 goals for the past two weeks. I'm hoping to do better but I'm behind on my deadline and I still haven't gotten my Mob book out the door, and I keep thinking of things I really, really need to do!
On the way home from lunch with crit. group, I stopped at a wild birds store, where the guy who runs it seemed a little desperate for company and wanted to talk my ear off. But he was certainly knowledgeable, and he told me all about how putting up a bat house will end my mosquito problems forever. I told him my chimney swifts were doing a pretty good job. Bats are kinda cute but I'm not sure I really, really want them roosting under the eaves of my house.
I did do some writing today. I used my recorder and wrote while I drove.
