I'm not sure if I've mentioned my recent fetish for fish tacos, but after I tried some at the Iron Cactus, I've been craving them and I order them wherever I see them on the menu. Unfortunately none have measured up to those first ones I had.
My friend Vicki (Victoria Chancellor) had mentioned that the fish tacos at Tin Star were good, so I've been bugging the critique group to have lunch there, and today we finally did. They were good. But they were also, unfortunately, batter fried, which kind of undoes the health benefits. (Part of the attraction of fish tacos is they're really healthy--no cheese, no fat really.)
I dictated writing into my digital recorder during the drive to and from lunch and managed to eke out six pages. Not bad for a lunch-with-the-girls day.
I made yogurt tonight. Yum.
Thanks for stopping by,
Kara
