Betty Skelly: Hi Kara, been awhile I did not come here. I was busy, we went back to FL again and we got lots of sunshine. We missed the flood here in Northwest but I am thankful that our house did not sunk. We live in a hill and the house was built 1 foot up the ground. I called my friend if we have flood but then it is only at the bridge about 2 miles away from my home. Glad everything went ok. How are you? Got a new book working again huh! cool!

Another book gone!

  • Pages Written Today: Finished RELUCTANT PARTNERS and sent it off!
  • Where did I walk/ride? To the library
  • Treasures found: 1 dime, 1 nickel and 4 pennies

This might be a record for me, sending off two complete manuscripts in the same week!  My big romantic suspense comedy book (I don't know what else to call it) went out on Monday to my agent, and my Harlequin American RELUCTANT PARTNERS went out to my editor today.

My next deadline is not until Nov. 15, so I can take a breather and enjoy the Buns 'n' Roses literacy tea over the weekend as well as all the festivities that go with it.  Then my mother-in-law arrives.  She considerately timed her visit to fall between my deadlines.  (I seem to remember one of her visits where she hardly saw me at all because I was under the gun and chained to my computer.)

I've been trying to download an audio book that I'm going to review for BooksForABuck.com, but I've been having problems--mostly because of my older MP3 player that has compatibility issues.  But it's a wonderful idea--a website where you can buy downloadable audio books.  It's called www.audible.com if you want to check it out.  (No books of mine on there, but maybe someday.)
