I'm on deadline and feeling the pinch, and Bravenet has been giving me problems. It keeps insisting my e-mail address isn't working and I must change it, which is ridiculous. I've had to go through this twice in the last week and it's annoying as hell.
Anyway, the good news is, I SENT THE MOB BOOK TO MY AGENT. Can you believe it? It's gone, done. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm about to send my Harlequin book, RELUCTANT PARTNERS, to Rob to read to see if I have a book or a mess.
All kinds of stuff percolating for me. I have the Buns 'n' Roses Tea for Literacy this weekend, in which authors host tables of readers for a luncheon, and we have a great guest speaker (Vicki Lewis Thompson? Now I've forgotten who it is! My brain is fried. But I know Vicki is attending, if not speaking.)
Then my deadline, and my mother-in-law visits for a few days. After that, I have volunteered to host a neighborhood wine tasting at my house. Eeeeks! The other people who have hosted have gorgeous houses all perfectly decorated and they are perfect, stylish hosts and I'm, well, I'm just a mess. This will force me to get organized and shovel out my house, clean out my refrigerator and sweep my yard.
I also have to get my workshop proposals in for next year's RWA conference. Then it's another deadline, California for Thanksgiving, and finally, get ready for my month at the beach, when I will probably be ready to collapse.
Thanks for stopping by,
Kara
