Better today. Wrote my usual ten pages, at least.
Today on Jeopardy, I got a treat. My former editor Lucia Macro--the editor who bought my first book a long, long time ago--was a contestant. She was quiet at first--she looked nervous. But when she got to a television spin-off category, she smoked. She also knew the final bonus round answer, which brought her up to a respectable score, though I think she still came in last.
When Alex introduced her, he mentioned that she's been given an award by the Romance Writers of America--Yay for us! She really is a wonderful editor. She bought my first nine books, which I think might be more than any other editor I've had.
For Date Night, Rob and I went to La Calle Doce, which is a kind of pricey Mexican seafood restaurant here in the hood. It's been around for more than 25 years, and someone mentioned that they have the best fish tacos in town. I HAD to try them.
They were pretty good, but still not as good as those I had at Iron Cactus.
Have a great weekend,
Kara
